Thank you, America!

Compassionate Americans will like this: The USA is now the #1 provider of humanitarian aid to Belarus!

The lion’s share comes into the country through the efforts of our “Response of the Heart” team, led by the humble little woman we jokingly call “The Great Kozovaya.”

She and her team scrupulously account for every ounce of aid, from arrival to distribution.

The latest: 17,533 lbs. of urgently needed medical materiel: devices for transfusion and blood sampling, catheters, surgical gloves, gowns...

...crutches, walkers, wheelchairs—

—and nearly 160,000 syringes.

A sign of the importance of this cargo: The Dept. of Humanitarian Affairs sent longtime staffer Katya to work with Kozovaya on processing.

(Also this week from Germany: a huge load of clothing, and 25 TONS of creamy margarine — a wonderful bonus for the folks we’re serving all across Belarus.)

Thanks to all who give to New Thing. This is your good work ... providing for the poor, the homeless, the orphans, the disabled, the sick, and others in need.
